Joidenkin rakastama, joidenkin kammoama joulu(lahja)sesonki lähestyy, ja tähän samoin kuin siihen toiseen sesonkijuttuun - kyllä, pikkujoulut - löytyy apuja ja apuvoimia Kiksin työhuonemyymälästä. Hyvän mielen ja hyvän omantunnon paketit onnistuvat myös tilaustyönä, jos Se Oikea ei jo roiku rekissämme.

Isompienkin bileiden stailaus onnistuu: Kiksin työhuonemyymälässä syntyy parhaillaan tilaustyö valtakunnan ykkösbileisiin! Kansanedustaja Tytti Tuppuraisen linnanjuhlapukuprojektin etenemisestä raportoi Forum24-lehti ja tietty  Kiksin facebook.

Grape Stationiin Helsinkiin lähti viime viikolla paketillinen uusia kiksejä, ja ensimmäistä kertaa pääkaupungista on saatavilla myös nahkaisia "Kaks"-kääntölaukkuja, erittäin herkuissa väreissä!

Kiksin facebookissa uusia kuvia myös 2nd-hand rekin antimista, työhuoneella lisää tuotteita livenä.

Ensimmäiset Oulu Fashion Stock Salesit menivät loistavasti, ja sama hyvä myyjäismeno jatkuu DESIGNTORILLA 25.-27.8.2011. Kiksiltä luvassa mm. uniikkipukunäytös to-iltana klo 20:30!

Kiksin upouudet nahkaiset "kääntölaukut" myytiin Fashion Stock Salesissa lähes loppuun ja Designtorille saadaankin uusi erä uusissa väreissä. Laukkuja saa toki myös tilauksesta.

Syyskuun ohjelmassa on uusien syysvaatteiden lisäksi erilainen, monitaiteellinen muotinäytös - Irokoo Nightout - joka esittelee eettistä designia Suomesta ja ulkomailta. Paikkana on Manillan Vanha Viinatehdas Turussa.

New spring stuff and new ideas building up at the kiks-workshop! Welcome for a visit!

New KIKS collection was presented yesterday 8.4. at the Warm Leatherette -club in Never Grow Old -bar. Thanks to the fabulous dancer-models Sanna, Anna, Riina and Sara!

I also wanna send big thanks to my photo models Anne, Ida and Paula. New collection photos are now presented in "Collections" with a couple of other new galleries. Custom Design -section also includes new galleries.

The new collection is presently available at the kiks-workshop and Non Boutique. And remember, now is the perfect time to put your spring-summer wardrobe in shape! Contact me on any kind of custom designs and be a brighter you!

KIKS 2011 -collection release party at Never Grow Old fri 8.4.2011 is getting closer and we just got the photoshoots done, not a day too early! Giggling, dancing and 80-90s Madonna, Neneh Cherry, L'Trimm, Betty Boo and Bananarama set the mood for the photos. While busying with the new collection kiks took time to participate Art&Business-event 23.3.

Thanks to the models Saga Skiftesvik and Henriikka Suoraniemi (featured below) and photographer Petteri Löppönen.

HeiShangHai !

Hoopdancer Kati Köykkä, better known by her stage name Hoop-A-Trix, is now representing Finland in the Shanghai Expo 2010 - dressed in outfits that are designed and made by Kiks! Supporting the local tunes!

Syys on maassa ja kiksin syysuutuudet kaupan hyllyllä. Vasemmalla näkyvää anorakkimallia sekä napamittaista minihupparia löytyy nyt työhuonemyymälästä sekä Non Boutiquesta. Spookyt kuvaussessiot pimeällä tenniskentällä menivät myös putkeen - kiitos malleina toimineille Idalle, Annelle ja Pilville!

Kiksin työhuonemyymälässä on uudet aukioloajat: MA-PE klo 12-17 plus aamuisin, iltaisin ja viikonloppuisin sopimuksen mukaan. Kiksin uuden työharjoittelijan Matleenan kanssa pistimme tuulemaan myös työhuoneen ulkoasun suhteen - palaute sekä aukioloaikojen että työhuoneen ilmeen suhteen onkin nyt erittäin tervetullutta!

Oulun muotoilupäivät ja Mukava-messut järjestetään Oulun kaupunginteatterilla 22.-23.10.2010. Perjantain seminaareissa on luennoimassa muun muassa Tiia Vanhatapio sekä oulainen Antti Putkonen. Lauantai on messupäivä, jolloin teatterin valtaavat muotinäytökset (klo 11, 13 ja 15), työnäytökset, sisustusklinikka, vaatetus- sisustus- ja korualan näytteilleasettajat sekä muotoilun ammattilaisten lyhyet pecha kucha -esitykset. Muotinäytöksessä ovat mukana Kiks, Locksteady, Non Boutique, Nahi, Pohjan Some/Marimekko, Vuokko ja Metsola. Malleina toimivat muun muassa Pohjois-Suomen Katutanssijat, capoeiraharrastajat, sirkustelijat sekä kokeneet catwalkmallit. Näytökset esittelevät pohjois-suomalaista osaamista hyvin laajalta skaalalta, sillä myös näytösmusiikki on paikallista tuotantoa. Ja mikä mukavinta, koko Mukava-messuille on VAPAA PÄÄSY!

Oulu 187, North Pride ja Qstockin Real Deal Beach Party -festivals plus all them custom-made orders kept kiks-sweatshop sweaty and busy this summer. But before the summer really ends, there'll be even hotter action comin up!

26.8. in Oulu's Night Of The Arts kiks-workshop will be open 6-10pm - maybe the whole night if the feeling's right. From 10pm to 4am there'll be video art made by Heikki Salo on the 2nd floor windows. Welcome you all!

28.8. Popsickle-club in Bar Becksu there's gonna be big moves on the dancefloor and stage! Main act will be a rising star, producer-rapper-singer-djgirl GoldieLocks all the way from  London, accompanied by gangstatechno-artist Rekku K, hoopdance pioneer Hoop-A-Trix and djs Macarone, Illyana and J Honey. Oh and a word about the clothes! A pile of rosy fabrics are turning into new autumn hoodies at the moment - kiks wan't stop flourishing no matter the weather!

Spring is here again!

Kierrätystehdas(RecyclingFactory)-weekend in Helsinki 24.-25.4.2010 was great - heaps of talented presenters and thousands of wonderful visitors! There's a pic of the presenters' fashion show on the left. Thanks to kiks' model Mirka and RemakeEkoDesign who put the show together. Pic was taken by Hoop-A-Trix whose hoop was presented together with kiks.

Non Boutique, Grape Station and Mieland's shop now all have new kiks, and in the workshop there's a lot of work to do with new products, summer dress orders and such.

Flying High to Kierrätystehdas!

Kiks is taking the traditional spring-trip to Helsinki, Kaapelitehdas to participate in Kierrätystehdas -recycling fair, 24.-25.4.2010. In the Oulu-crew we have kiks, Locksteady ja Hoop-A-Trix, so alongside recycled design clothes we're gonna have partly recycled hoops on offer. A massive eco-fashion show presenting over 30 labels is also gonna take place in Kierrätystehdas.

Parties and props!

Kiks 2010 collection "Flying High" is currently flying out from its workshop-nest - this time towards the north! You can find it in the kiks-workshop and Non Boutique in Oulu or soon-to-be opened Mieland-shop in Rovaniemi. And of course we're arranging a party to celebrate the new collection, new website, Easter holidays, dancing and all such goodness. More info on the left. Big thanks to Pohjois-Suomen Katutanssijat (North-Finland Streetdancers) for the dance/fashion show!
